flat panel televisions

I love flat panel televisions. It is amazing at how much entertainment has changed because of the flat panel televisions. We had only one in our living room. It is about three years old, but it still changes the way that we watch movies and even play video games. With clear pictures, and no more glare, we can enjoy a lot more times television watching than we usually could.

Our neighbors, who we have been getting pretty friendly with, invited us over to their house for dinner one night. They had three flat panel televisions in their home. One for the living room, one in the den, and even one in the kitchen. The one in the kitchen really caught my eye. Mostly because they were using it as a computer monitor. They had a laptop computer nearby and it was connected with a HDMI cord to the TV. When I asked why they had that hooked up to the TV, they said all their computers are hooked up to the flat panel televisions. They even had a desktop PC dedicated to the one in the living room. I was really intrigued now. I had to ask why.

With the flat panel televisions they can hook their computers to them and surf the Internet, watch Netflix movies, and even watch slideshows of pictures. They didn't have any type of satellite or cable because they could get it all online. I couldn't believe it. The flat panel televisions actually made it so they could save money while they were watching TV. Once the dinner was done I wanted to go home and set ours up the same way. However, because our TV was a little older, I couldn't hook my computer directly to it. I went online to start looking for flat panel televisions and found some great ones at Electronics For Tomorrow. Looking through the flat panel televisions at www.electronicsfortomorrow.com was too much fun. They had a lot of them and it was exciting to think about buying a new flat panel. I chose a Viewsonic VT2230 22" LCD TV for using in the den. This way it could be used as a computer monitor, and a TV. Once the flat panel was delivered from Electronics for Tomorrow I set it up in the den and connected the desktop PC to it. This flat panel might be actually smaller the one in the living room, but I find myself watching the new one more!
