home theater 5.1


Family night is a big deal in our household, especially now with the home theater 5.1. Everyone looks forward to Thursday nights. The kids get down to business with their homework right after school to make sure they can participate. The rule in our household is homework first then play. There is no television, no computer, no nothing until the homework is completed and checked by an adult.  

We like to rotate the choice of family night events. So every Thursday another member of the family gets to pick whether we play games, watch movies or have a family discussion. These nights vary in activity depending on whose turn it is to choose. When we installed the home theater 5.1 we watched alot of movies and played a bunch of computer based games. My family likes to be together, so really anything we do is a good time!

The home theater 5.1 was my husband's idea. He and our son spent a good day installing it. They had a few glitches but worked through them. It was a great bonding activity for them and I think my son learned a few things with the installation process. There is nothing better than family night and the home theater 5.1!
