F1 Racing on the Flat Panel Television |

After setting up with a new cable provider I have access to a list of channels never had before. One of my favorite is Speed HD. Until recently, I didn’t have this one in high definition. Racing, basketball, football, hockey, and science shows are completely different when featured in HD. The video below is a digital recreation of the Malaysia Sepang track this year. Last night F1 teams were running practice laps on this track and my home theater 5.1 was eating up the high pitch roar of these high horsepower go-karts with ease. There is nothing like the sound of an F1 race coming down the front straight well over 160 MPH and whipping past on a LCD television. The surround speakers pick it up and by the time the car is bolting by the sound of it passing flies around the room.
These are the kind of racers America should be obsessed with. I never understood why our country enjoys watching cars make left turns and draft each other all day. The only pay off to stock car racing is crashes. F1 has my full LCD television attention every turn.
