Last night I was online booking a cruise for later in the year with my family and when I called to tell my parents that everything had been booked, dad wanted to know if the staterooms had an LCD television. That was one of the things I hadn’t thought much about when making the reservation, so I had to tell dad I wasn’t sure but that I’d try to find out. I ended up calling my cruise specialist to ask about the LCD television and he assured me that each stateroom had one and that we could use it anytime we liked. He also said that he doubted we’d be spending much time in our stateroom, much less watching the LCD television, but it was there if we wanted it. I relayed the message to dad, who in turn told mom that even the cruise had the type of television that he wanted. I couldn’t help but find myself giggling; because I had no idea that dad was going to use this as a selling point to mom for them to order an LCD television. Dad doesn’t know it yet, but we’re all chipping in and getting him one for Christmas. I’ve already found it online and we will just have to order it. In the meantime, we’re going to let him keep talking about the television and let him be surprised at Christmas.
