Lulled To Sleep With HiFi Audio |
| 8/29/2010 12:05:55 PM |
Waking up early for work this morning meant falling asleep pretty early last night while my roommates were up playing cards and having what sounded like a good time. I resisted their push to stay up “just a little bit longer,” and headed to bed when many people were just heading out the door for a night out. The problem was I wasn’t tired. I should have been. I was even before my roommates tried convincing me to stay up with them. Their convincing sent more energy to my brain or something.
For 15 minutes, I sat in bed wondering why I couldn’t fall asleep. Then I got up and tried something I hadn’t done for months. After grabbing the MP3 player and connecting it to my bedroom HiFi audio speakers, a playlist called “Sleep” started playing. It is a mix of acoustic guitar riffs, waves crashing, jungle sounds and mellow electronic. I let the HiFi audio lull me to sleep. It worked. I didn’t have to count sheep. The serene sounds leaked out of the HiFi audio and I wandered off into dreamland.
