lcd televisionAbout two weeks ago, my husband and I ordered our oldest daughter an LCD television for her birthday. She turned 17, and we thought that it was about time that we allowed her to have a LCD television in her room, since she's been asking for one for about two years now. We were always a little anxious about allowing the television, because we were concerned that she would maybe spend more time watching it than taking care of her school work. My husband and I both see now that it was a case of us not giving our daughter enough credit to be responsible with the LCD television and not stay up until all hours of the night on a school night watching it.

Apparently one of our neighbors saw the LCD television delivery, because yesterday she stopped in to ask where we got it. She said that her television had recently gone out and that she'd been worried she couldn't afford a new one. I explained to her that the LCD television that we got our daughter was found for a great price online and that I'd be more than happy to help her if she'd like to see where we got it. We came inside and we found LCD HDTV (26") that I helped her find at Electronics For Tomorrow whose online store can be found by visiting http://electronicsfortomorrow.com. She was amazed at how affordable the LCD television was online and asked if I could help her order it. I knew she didn't have Internet at her home or even a computer, so I was more than happy to help her. She ran home, got her credit card and the order was complete within five minutes. While she was there, I had the opportunity to tell her that anytime she is looking to buy something that she's more than welcome to come to our house and we'll look online to see if we can't get it cheaper. I explained that it wasn't just the LCD television that was cheaper online, but that just about everything could be found for a better price. She was truly amazed. She thanked me several more times and declined my invitation to stay for dinner. This morning she came over and brought me some fresh baked muffins and said that she just wanted to thank me, and thought they'd be great for breakfast. I love great neighbors.
