Our son is turning 15 next Friday and the one request he’s had for his birthday is a flat panel television for his bedroom. He asked for the same thing for Christmas this past year, but at that particular time my husband and I weren’t completely convinced that he was ready for a flat panel television in his room, but having the past six months to think about it, we’ve decided that we’ll honor his wishes and give him what he wants. A little over a week ago I found a really great deal online for a flat panel television and ordered it for Jeremy. I really wanted it to be a surprise, so I decided to have it sent to my parent’s home so he wouldn’t find out about it. My husband almost slipped up last night and mentioned the flat panel television, but he covered his tracks and I don’t think Jeremy caught on. I’m planning a small family dinner on Friday evening and in addition to the television we’re also giving him a new video game. We’ll give him that first, so he will think that it’s all he’s getting, so the surprise will be even bigger when he sees that he got the television he wanted. I can’t wait to see the expression on his face. It’s going to be priceless.
