lcd televisionWe have a busy weekend cleaning the house and as a reward, I told the kids that once the house and yard were ship shape, they could watch as many movies as they could stand on our LCD television. The weather this weekend was awesome so we tackled the yard first and today we're starting on the house. Since our LCD television is so lightweight, I gave them permission to move the LCD television in the loft to their rooms to watch TV or movies while they clean them.

We have been speculating about whether neatness is a genetic trait. We have neat freaks in our family and also total messy people, and I have each kind with the kids. My son is a total neat freak so his room won't take long at all to clean, but my daughter, on the other hand, could probably watch the first year's episodes of many of her favorite TV series and not get it cleaned up by the season's end. I might give her a hand, as long as she finds something we both want to watch. Our LCD television in the family room is a little too big to move, so I suggested that she haul all the clothes that aren't on hangers or in drawers into the family room to fold or hang up the clothes while she entertains herself with good TV or movies and sorts through her school papers.
