The LCD Television in the Guest Room a Nice Touch for Visitors |

The first of our spring visitors is arriving today and we've been working to get the guest room fixed up so it's comfortable for our friends and family who come down to Phoenix to enjoy beautiful spring temperatures. These are the days when we sit back on the patio and say to ourselves, "this is why we live here." Our summers may be hot, but once past, the rest of the weather is simply gorgeous and we are so happy we can share our home with people who live in colder climates.
The best addition we made to the guest room was an LCD television. We have it all fixed up now and the LCD television is ready to go. We even bought a small DVD player so if they want to escape for a couple of hours, they are more than welcome to. That was just an embellishment, however, since it's not likely they will want to spend time in the house since the weather right now is just perfect. We have a nice patio with a fire pit and we like to spend our evenings socializing around it. We also have a couple of lounge chairs for them to lay back, read a book, and catch up on some tanning during the afternoon.
After months of cold weather, it feels good for our guests to stretch their legs hiking during the day hiking, too, and spend the evenings around our cozy campfire. Our guests like to stay on top of the news and weather, however, so they'll probably watch the LCD television in the morning before we get up. We bought the LCD television for the guest room at Electronics for Tomorrow found at www.electronicsfortomorrow.com where we got an incredible value on it. It's the Hannspree 19" standard w/DVI & Speakers. Model - HX191DPB and I've been watching it in the late afternoons just to relax.
Our guest room has a west window which is perfect in the winter and spring because of the sun shining in and it feels so good. Ironically, in the summer, it's the coolest room in the house, too, because it's right next to the air conditioner so I'll probably still watch late afternoon TV on the LCD television back there even though it's over 100 out. The picture quality and sound from the speakers are both great and it's fun to escape to a quiet part of the house to watch my favorite afternoon shows on the flat panel television before anyone gets home from school and work. While I wait for our guests to get here today, I'll switch on the LCD television back there to fold the laundry, do some final dusting, and get ready for a fun week with our frozen friends from up north.
